Viet Nam Elevator Association becomes member of Viet Nam Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) in EVFTA

On March 23, 2022, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed and promulgated Decision No. 415/QD-BCT amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decision No. 1972/QD-BCT dated August 17, 2021 , thereby adding the Viet Nam Elevator Association to the list of official members of the Viet Nam Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) within the framework of Chapter 13 (Trade and Sustainable Development) of the Free Trade Agreement. between Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA).

 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the basis of Article 13.15 under the EVFTA. The Viet Nam DAG comprises of Vietnamese associations, non-governmental and non-profit organizations, which are legally established and operating in Vietnam, representing legitimate interests in Viet Nam related to trade and sustainable development. The main function of the Vietnam DAG Group is to gather, present views, and provide recommendations and advice on the implementation of the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter of the EVFTA, in line with the commitments in the Agreement. Members of the Group are independent of the state management agencies to which they advise.

On March 22, 2022, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed and promulgated  establishing and stipulating the organization and operation mechanism of Viet Nam Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under Chapter 13 of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKVFTA). According to Decision No. 401/QD-BCT, members of Viet Nam DAG in the EVFTA as specified in the Appendix to Decision No. 1972/QD-BCT dated August 17, 2021 and documents amending and supplementing Decision No. 1972/QD-BCT also serve as members of Viet Nam DAG in the UKVFTA.

As such, by becoming a member of Viet Nam DAG in the EVFTA, the VNEA also becomes a member of Viet Nam DAG in the UKVFTA.
